Dr. Kawthar Sahib Ahmed Al-Jasim is a dedicated agricultural scientist whose passion for agriculture and plant sciences has shaped a distinguished academic and research career. From an early stage in her education, she developed a strong interest in understanding both the fundamental principles of plant science and the emerging technologies transforming modern agriculture. This passion became the driving force behind her lifelong pursuit of scientific knowledge and innovation.

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Dr. Al-Jasim recognized the immense potential of scientific research to address agricultural challenges and improve crop productivity. Motivated by a commitment to academic excellence, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Kufa, where she obtained her Master's degree and further strengthened her expertise in agricultural sciences.

In 2009, she joined the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education as a university lecturer, beginning a professional journey dedicated to teaching, research, and academic development. Her commitment and achievements quickly gained recognition, and after three years of service, she was nominated by her department to pursue doctoral studies in the United States.

In 2013, Dr. Al-Jasim embarked on her Ph.D. journey at the University of Florida, one of the world's leading institutions in agricultural research and education. Before commencing her doctoral research, she completed intensive English language training to enhance her communication skills and facilitate effective participation in the global scientific community.

Throughout her doctoral studies, she demonstrated exceptional dedication and scholarly excellence. She actively participated in numerous scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional development programs, primarily across the United States. In addition, she engaged in graduate student leadership and training activities that enriched her academic experience and strengthened her research capabilities.

Her hard work and perseverance culminated in the successful completion of her Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Horticultural Sciences, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Florida. Her doctoral training provided advanced expertise in horticultural science, research methodology, and innovative approaches to agricultural production and sustainability.

Following her return to Iraq, Dr. Al-Jasim brought with her extensive scientific knowledge, international research experience, and a clear vision for advancing agricultural science. Since then, she has continued to make meaningful contributions to research, higher education, and community development. Through her scholarly activities, mentorship of students, and commitment to scientific innovation, she has played an important role in fostering agricultural advancement and supporting sustainable development.

Today, Dr. Al-Jassem continues to pursue excellence in research and education, striving to bridge international scientific advancements with local agricultural needs. Her work reflects a deep commitment to serving Iraq, advancing scientific knowledge, and inspiring future generations of agricultural scientists.
